Stick a Fork in Me...

This is the phrase I say about Parker after he eats! This boy is SO relaxed all (*most) of the time! One of my favorite times with Parker is resting him on my legs while I start to pump. He gets so relaxed while I rock him on my legs! I LOVE it! Such a sweet boy! He also stays so relaxed while eating- half the time he sleeps through it. =)
Here are some pictures
It starts-

Full as a tick ;)

AND I can't post without a picture of our sleeping beauty ;)

Out for a Stoll

A few Sundays ago Eric and were actually feeling a little rested and decided after he went to get us Starbucks we would try out the new stroller. The weather was beautiful! Our walk ended up lasting half a block because the poor babies can't support their heads yet and they seemed really uncomfortable but it was great to get outside for a few minutes! Eric was an excellent driver avoiding all the bumps in the sidewalk! I thought I would want to "drive" but got a little intimidated! Here are a few pictures of our first step outside-

Presley was so surprised when I told her!

Stretching and getting all warmed up for the walk

Presley needed some caffeine haha kidding!

Yay Parker's ready!

Ready to go!

Hospital Pictures

I've been meaning to add the babies hospital pictures to the blog for awhile now! These pictures were taken when we roomed in the first time. It was so special because it was the first time Eric and I saw the babies side by side! They were seperated in the NICU. I'll never forget the moment they were laid side by side! Here they are- (the babies were 37 weeks when these pictures were taken.)

First Mother's Day

When I was pregnant I had so much love for my babies already...but I knew when they arrived I would have even more love for them. Well, it's actually a love I couldn't have ever imagined! It's a different kind of love than I've ever felt. I feel so much happiness when holding them, so much sadness when they cry (especially now that they have real tears) so proud when they do something new, and so protective for their well being. Being a mother is an incredible blessing that truly does turn your world upside down! Eric and I are both blessed with incredible mothers who raised us how to be the best parents we can be and we are very grateful!

I am amazed at the endurance and adrenaline that comes with being a mommy. No matter how tired I get I just keep going and going. Being a mommy to twins is tough! Today was very tough. After a very rough night the babies kept me going through the day. The poor babies have tummy issues still and very often after eating are in a lot of pain and discomfort. :( I'm ready for all the tummy issues to pass. You should have seen me today...my mom had to run some errands for me so I was on my own to feed the babies at 3. It's not the first or only time I've fed them by myself but today was quite comical. There I was feeding Parker when Presley started crying in the other room (happens every time.) So, I try to quickly finish feeding Parker SPRINT to the living room to get his bouncy seat and bring it back to Presley's room (aka the baby office..hehe) SPRINT to my bedroom to get Presley and start feeding her. I get Presley's diaper changed and rest her on my legs while I hook up the breast pump (I'm pumping and bottle feeding...long story.) Just as I get her started Parker starts slipping out of his bouncy seat towards the floor. I had adjusted his bouncy seat to help him sit a little more upright to help with the reflux since I couldn't hold him. So...I lay Presley on the ottoman and bend down to adjust Parker back in his seat. When I lean over to adjust Parker milk pours out of the pump onto me, Presley, the glider, and carpet. Argh! This happened 3 or 4 times! I was pretty frustrated! But, in the end we all survived. haha...only me.

I had a great Mother's Day! The Saturday night before the babies had a rough night and kept me up most of the night. Therefore, Sunday I was exhausted. I woke up for feedings and as soon as the babies went to sleep so did I. So really my day didn't start until about 4 pm. Eric was so anxious for Parker and Presley to give me their gift...it was so sweet. He set up their bouncy seats in front of me and laid the card on Parker and the gift on Presley. =) They were so thoughtful and got me a James Avery heart necklace- it has two chains that hang down with hearts- one for Parker and one for Presley. ;) I LOVE it! Eric has been such a wonderful husband and daddy!
Here are some Mother's Day photos

Then, Presley apparently changed her mind about giving it to me. haha! She had a grip on that bag! ;)

Well, it's been almost three hours---time for another feeding! Off I go!

May 6

May 6. A day that had been told to me since August 2009. May 6th was my due date for the babies. However, I knew all along that since I was carrying twins the babies would be delivered sooner. Isn't it amazing that I had the pleasure of knowing my babies for two months before they were supposed to be delivered? What a miracle! It wasn't an easy road on any of us but everything is better when you have each other. I still look at the babies and I'm amazed that these are the two little bundles I felt moving around in my tummy for so long. My heart is so full of love! I'm also thankful to have an amazing husband. Having twins is a lot of work for both parents. Eric and I are both up at every feeding (every 3 hrs) while he still has to make into work each morning. Here are pictures of my sweeties from May 6th: Presley wasn't really in the mood for photos ;)
