First Swim!

On Father's Day Eric and I decided it was the perfect evening to introduce Parker & Presley to the pool. They were SO cute in their tiny bathing suits! We waited until the evening to take them out so they wouldn't be out in the sun and heat. We can't wait until they are old enough to truly enjoy the pool (although we aren't wishing away this time with them...they grow way too fast!) =) I took Presley in and Eric took Parker in- we only got their legs in because we didn't have swim diapers and I didn't want the chlorine to irritate their skin. Protective, protective. =)Here are some pictures of this fun time!

Excited to go out-

Tiny Love and Nap Nanny

Two of my FAVORITE baby items! The Tiny Love mobiles Nana bought have been great to entertain the babies. I even find myself staring at them. haha! We started out with just one for Parker. In the beginning I wasn't too fond of them because they didn't really match their rooms. BUT, after I saw how much they love watching it that concern flew out the window fast! My mom ordered one for Presley too. Just one more tool to use if they are awake and get bored. It's SO sweet to see them smile up at it! I love putting them in the same crib together to watch the mobile!

The Nap Nanny has also proven to be fabulous! THANK YOU Monica for telling me about this! The Nap Nanny is for babies with reflux- it keeps them upright at the perfect angle. Plus, if we want we can move them to the living room because they are light weight!

Here are some pictures with their mobile and the Nap Nanny. =)

Sharing Parker's Nap Nanny...probably won't happen again. It was a tight fit...but oh so adorable. =)

In other news, the babies did great last night! Now, I don't want to jinx anything and I'm sure tonight we'll be up every 3 hours...but last night between 10-6 the babies only woke up to eat once...which means I didn't have to wake up Eric. I REALLY hope we have more of those nights! I feel great today! Things are getting better around here and I actually feel I can completely take care of the babies on my own. I have LOVED having help from Nana and Gramma but it's also nice to feel normal again. I haven't felt self sufficient since I went on bed rest in January. Once things get even better I know I'll be needing Nana and Gramma to come over so I can run errands, etc. =) I'm thankful to have great help!

Happy Daddy Day!

Yesterday, Eric celebrated his first father's day! I must say he had a great day! We started out the day giving him his gifts! Presley wanted to give her daddy some relaxation so she had me schedule him a massage for 1:00. Parker also wanted his daddy to have some time to relax so he asked me to pay for someone to mow the yard. ;) They also gave him a mouse pad for work with their picture and a First Father's Day frame with a message from them. Before Eric rushed off to his massage we had his favorite biscuits and gravy!

Eric really loved the massage. When he came home he couldn't stop smiling! He then rested on the couch awhile with Presley while I ran a couple of errands. Later that afternoon he fired up the grill and played some pool basketball drinking a Corona. He kept saying, "this is the best Father's Day ever!" haha and his only! =) After dinner we took the babies for their first "swim." Pictures to post later.

Eric,
The babies and I are so lucky to have you! You are the best daddy and husband we could ask for! Being a daddy to twins is a lot of work. =)

Eric's cards and his current favorite candy! He liked the card I got him except he said there needed to be two captions saying-whaaa (both babies crying.)haha!

Wow, I can't believe it has been three months since their eventful birthday! Part of me feels like it's only been a few weeks and yet the NICU part feels like it lasted a year! The babies have been home with us for a month and a half and I've been soaking up every second! Here's a look at what they've been doing the last month:

Newborn Pictures!

Saturday, May 15, we had the babies newborn pictures taken! It was SO sweet to watch!! The photographer was great! Very patient! Here are some of my favorites and a poem I found online that I love! =)

Hearts entwined
Twenty fingers, twenty toes,
two sweet babies with cheeks of rose.
Born on the same day, two gifts from above,
lives entwined, two babies to love.

So in love!
