Angels

I have many Christmas pictures and activities I need to post but none of that can be done because I need to post about something very close to my heart.
Last week changed lives. I am not going to go into much detail on this blog, nor do I have the perfect words, but over the course of the week my brother and sister in law lost their 3 baby girls. They were born and went to heaven.
It's easy to think, "if only, or what if" but the worst part of that is you can't change a thing.
I can't fathom the pain and emptiness my brother and sister in law are facing now but I know the entire family is in pain over losing these 3 girls- 3 daughters, 3 sisters, 3 granddaughters, 3 nieces, and 3 cousins.
I'm thankful we got the opportunity to meet them. They all 3 were strong and beautiful.
I pray for peace for our family, and for happiness ahead for Kyle & Jordanna.
In memory of
Harper Marie (12/11/12)
Hannah Jean (12/11/12)
Madison Rose (12/15/12)

It still doesn't seem real.
Thank you to everyone who has sent your prayers.

The Move

It's been about 6 weeks now since our big move! I never had the chance in the chaos to tell the reason behind it, our experience, and how we like the new house....so here are the details-

We did love our 1st house. Eric and I worked hard right after buying it- replacing all the floors, painting from top to bottom (my Mom played a huge part in this), building a deck, replacing fixtures, on and on until then we designed our babies rooms exactly the way we wanted it. Sooo after allllll that work, why would we want to move?! Several things made us feel our home wasn't the perfect home for us anymore. Eric's drive from south of the metroplex was wearing on him with all the traffic on his drive home, and the layout didn't work so well for us anymore...specifically having our bedroom side by side the babies rooms. Having all of our bedrooms together when the babies were itty bitty (the entire 1st year+) was wonderful...we didn't have a long walk during those night wakings, night feedings, etc. But, now that everyone sleeps through the night it became a constant worry that our tv was too loud, or Eric getting ready in the morning would wake everyone up...in addition our master bath shared a wall with Presley's room so showers and bathroom flushes usually woke her up. No fun. With interest rates extremely low and being in the summer we decided to give it a try.
After some really tough decisions and a lot of stress we decided on a neighborhood south (closer to Eric's work), with all the amenities we could dream of for our little ones, great schools, and a new construction house ready for move in that fit our needs perfectly. The downside now is that we have a bit of a commute to our family and friends but all in all we are loving the house and neighborhood!

Here's a glance at the new house...(I've had a few friends begging for pics on the blog, so this is for you!) ;) Still have more unpacking (what a nightmare moving is) and decorating to do but here are a few pictures as of a few wks ago..pre-Christmas :)
Living area and kitchen

Study off entry on the left and dining room on the right
Gameroom/play room upstairs. Our old living room furniture is all up here.

We love that we have a short walk to the playground, pool (that we don't have to clean...ha), and lake.
The outdoor beauty of this neighborhood is why we choose this area over other areas
 P&P are loving it ;)
We went on a walk behind the lake last Saturday. About 2 minutes into our walk something scurried away in the trees (it was a rabbit) and I told Eric, wow beautiful, let's head back- haha! We also saw a dead possum- beautiful, ha. ;)

We are getting settled in a little more each day...of course our moving ended up taking place right before the busiest photography season :)
Be back soon.
