Singing in the Rain
We've loved the rainy days we've had this month! From sitting on the porch watching the rain & coloring with chalk, to splashing in puddles- it was a nice change of pace around here!

Cooler June
We've been lucky to have some cooler (ok remember I'm talking cooler than normal for Texas, ha) days this June thanks to some much needed rain! We've taken full advantage of any and all days below 90 degrees ;)
One morning we loaded up, stopped at sonic for my slush of course, and headed to the park!
I like this specific park because Pryce & I can sit in the shade at a picnic table to watch the big kids play :)

2 Months!
Our little Pryce baby is now 2 months old! He is now a happy, smiley, "talkative" baby! I had forgotten that feeling of the first baby smiles, there's nothing sweeter!! He first started smiling around 6 weeks, and each week he would smile a little more often and now he smiles and coos almost every time we talk to him- happy boy! He usually wakes up twice at night to eat, he's given me a few nights of 7 hours of sleep (heavenly!!) and the last two nights he's gone 6 hours- I'm hopeful a routine of waking up once at night is beginning :) He really is a great baby, he rarely cries at all. He has his fussy times and it's usually just wanting to nurse. He still wants to nurse a lot in the evening hours before bed.
He had his 2 month check up and shots today. He's a growing boy at 12.15 lbs (50th percentile), and 23.75 inches (65 percentile) Poor baby is having a bit of a rough afternoon after his shots but I'm making sure he's comfy by sleeping on me. ;)

Smiles!
His sister just loves him and he loves her!! I love that they get so excited when he smiles! :) Presley is my little helper in the car when Pryce cries (he sits next to her) she will spin the little toys that dangle across his seat to entertain him, or hold a pacifier for him :) She calls the pacifier his "Q-mid-ifier" similar to the sound of a humidifier, haha! I think she remembers now that it's a pacifier. :) She also says when she gives him the paci that she's "feeding him" I don't tell her any different :)

Girls & Guys Night
A couple of weekends ago Eric took one excited little Parker to a Ranger game, so of course Presley & I (plus Pryce) planned a girls night out ;)
Parker was soooo excited!
Eric said Parker didn't sit still ever ;) He loves life and having a fun time! They enjoyed popcorn, cotton candy, and peanuts :) He slept in late the next day which is unheard of for Parker- he's the rooster of the house!
Presley and I went down the road to Peter Piper Pizza to eat dinner and play games. Pryce enjoyed looking at all the video game lights in his carrier :)
Ready to go pick her prize! She picked a prize for Parker too- sweet girl!
We them went to get ice cream at marble slab (to-go because Pryce wasn't too happy), and then came home and watched a movie in my bed. It was such a sweet night!

Summertime!
We've had two weeks of summer now & have been having fun! We have a lot of play dates planned now that everyone is out of school & has open schedules!
After Memorial Day P&P started swim lessons! We were able to do a semi-private lesson with our neighbor friend Harmony which was great! P&P were verrrry fearful of going underwater & as Parker would say- "scared they will sink."
Presley was still a bit fearful by the end but Parker now really enjoys swimming & has the basic idea down!
We've also had quite a few friends over! Now that it's summer everyone has more time & many friends want to come meet Pryce :) P&P lovveeee having friends over!
This particular day below I had 3 of my best friends over & their little ones while Kim was in town visiting from Colorado! We had fun catching up while the kids ran around playing & wearing themselves out!
Counting Pryce we had 6 boys & Presley :)
I've been friends with these girls since we were 14-15 :)
We also had our little friends Hudson & Aubree over
Another summertime favorite is sonic slushes! I've been obsessed with sonics raspberry slushes- if you haven't had one I highly recommend, ha :)
I'm also trying to incorporate some learning into our weeks! I found a Star Wars pre-k pack online to print- anyone that knows Parker knows his love for Star Wars :) and Presley likes it too! I gave her several options for pre-k packs but she wanted Star Wars too!

The End
We ended Parker & Presley's first soccer season & the end of their first year in school! The year sure did go by fast. They enjoyed their sweet teacher Mrs Brittany & made some great friends that will be missed! It was a little sad that last day since they'll be going to a different school next year & won't be with the same friends..hard decision I made but it'll be for the best! Cannot believe they'll be in pre-k next year & then on to kinder!
The soccer season was...hmmm...an experience, haha! Presley loved the first game & did great! After that first game she slowly tapered off not liking it very much & by the end we were begging her to go to practice & even more difficult was getting her to go to the games. She did have fun with one of her little best friends harmony though...those two when on the field together would be holding hands & playing :) they weren't exactly into the soccer game- ha!

Kickin' Cuties!
Parker for the most part loved the idea of soccer! He was a little distracted by all the happenings around the soccer field but for the most part he ran around after the ball ;) He definitely improved and had his best game on the last day....which he had to play the entire game! Parker had a small soccer team and two players couldn't come to the last game which left them with only 3 players. Eric did a great job coaching the Turf Monsters. The parents all commented on how he had great patience- whew that patience was much needed coaching 3 & 4 year olds- haha!

End of the School Year!
Parker & Presley had an awesome end of the year! The last week consisted of an ice cream party & then the last day was splash day! They were so excited for summer & I'm looking forward to not having to rush off on tues/thurs mornings..especially now that Pryce is here! :)
Their teacher made a little scrap book for each of them with pictures from various activities during the year- so sweet!
This little picture of their class holding hands and the caption "on our way to pre-k" definitely made me cry :) so sweet!
Such a sweet class!
