Rainy Days & Puppy Love

A few weeks ago we had a really dark rainy day.  I love having those days occasionally! It seems like 2011 did not include many rainy days so it's nice when we have them.
On rainy days we...
turn the kitchen table into a tent and read books under it!

Put our gigantic teddy bear down the slide ;)
 Make smores!
 Wear baskets on our heads...
Give each other a ride in the wagon that is made for legos!

Love a good rainy day when we have no where to go!

And now on to some puppy love! Sweet little Pudge stayed with us while my Dad was in the hospital and the excitement of having him here never wore off to P & P. :)
hehe this is Pudge's- "are you serious" look
 kisses!
And little Presley spent her time bringing him things! I have a picture on my phone of Pudge surrounded in random items including one of my shoes...haha! She felt he needed toys ;)
 More offerings from Presley ;)
This was a big step for Presley! When she wasn't bringing him items she was following him around with her hands reaching out but the minute he'd look back she'd giggle and snap her hands back- haha! She was pretty nervous about him
unrelated to puppy love but had to throw this in here of my little basket case ;)
he seriously goes around the house like this! It's pretty hilarious...if he runs into something he lifts the basket up to see what it was and then carries on
Feeding Pudge cheerios. I must say Pudge did help me out quite a bit with crumbs ;)

We miss little Pudge being here but he is much happier back at Nana & Papa's being an only child. ;)

some pics I took of the little cuties at 22 months (they're now 23 months by the way...sigh) :)
"wooaaa?" aka Helloooo? I love her little way of saying hello

same for this little guy "woooa" ;)

hehe this is his, "Momma help this is heavy!"  don't worry I stepped right in after the click ;)
Always better when we're together :)

Smooch!
Happy Monday! Two things make me smile today...wait, wait- three- park playdate this afternoon, sonic drinks, AND the best way to end the evening- The Bachelor! ;) This season of the bachelor is crazy, I'm addicted. :)

Pandemic & Picasso

Phew....well I started this post almost a week ago and I'm just now opening the computer to finish it! I think our little pandemic is over, but I better not jinx anything. We had quite the variety of illness in my family- first, Dad came home from the hospital with pneumonia with a PIC line to receive antibiotics at home. Mom gets trained on how to administer the antibiotics, 12 hours later she came down with a stomach bug, 12 hours later I come down with the flu, 12 hours later Eric came down with a virus...seriously. One word from me- tamiflu! I really think tamiflu was made in heaven, after two doses I felt so much better than before. Today I feel back to normal at last! I'm really looking forward to the weekend!

On to Picasso....

Parker really enjoyed finger painting a few weeks ago, Presley wasn't as fond of getting her fingers dirty...she did enjoy it though and made a beauitufl picture! :)

Could they be any different? I'm sure you can guess whose is whose :)

Looking a little like a crazy artist ;)
Apparently the final touch was running it through his hair...
Little angel :) I used some of Eric's old shirts for their smocks. When I told Eric he said, "What old shirts? I wear ALL my shirts.." haha! Don't worry Eric these had small holes ;)
I've been on my own painting kick lately, spray paint that is! I've for some reason had an itch to re-decorate and one of the main things I've done is spray paint- so easy and totally changes the look! Now that the flu is gone I look forward to finishing some of my ideas. :)
spray painting old frames and re-purposing
bedroom lamps before
and after! I'm on a paint everything cream colored kick! Now I want to cover my shades with burlap!
Happy weekend!!

Lately!

I am still here! Life's been a bit chaotic since my last posting. My Dad went into the hospital last Thursday night. He gave us all a good scare. He's been sick since November for what the family doctor said was a sinus infection. He finally got so bad Thursday that they went to the ER... his heart rate was 60/50 and bp 160- very scary. He has pneumonia and is now being treated with several antibiotics. They have installed a PIC line (last night) so that he can receive his antibiotics by IV at home. He is very happy for this and ready to be home.
We are ready for Dad/Papa to be feeling better!
With my Dad being in the hospital, little Pudge came to stay with us. P & P are in doggy heaven. Pudge on the other hand is not so much, pretty sure he thinks P & P are scary little aliens. :) He did however really appreciate the wagon ride...the wind was in his hair as if he was hanging out the car window. :) More on Pudge later..

Here's what we were up to around the house prior to my Dad getting real sick--
Have I mentioned how messy Parker is?? :) Here's one night after he finished his dinner..
*note- I chose to let him play on this one occasion :)
shaking out his water...
...licking up some of the water
 splashing in the water...
acting like a crazy person... :)

 Ha!
My sweet angel messy boy :)
Ever since P & P got their "lap tops" at Christmas they join me when I check e-mails :) It's really cute when I'm sitting with my coffee in the morning and they bring their lap tops.
precious co-worker huh? :) oh and Presley works on two lap tops at once...she's a pretty hard worker ;)
Enjoying a ride around the living room on a pillow
working together to put out fires!
Yep, I bought them each a potty seat and the "Elmo's Potty Time" video...which is quite hilarious. It's not the right time for them to full on learn but I will be prepared for when they are ready, and in the mean time a little practice :) Parker is quite sad that his Cars potty seat isn't a toy he can take around the house...cars=exicting...I should have thought of that- haha!
I can't believe it's February- playing with Valentine's window stickers
And a little DIY for today- Coffee filter wreaths! Love! Simply fold the filters and hot glue to the wreath!
Ta-da! A ruffle wreath! I'm realizing I have a wreath obsession- I've seen some REALLY cute ones on pinterest....I need more doors and wall space. ;)
Sweet twinkies!
Have a wonderful weekend. A quick prayer for my dad's health would be appreciated!
