Twin Love!

The other day we were hanging out in the living room when I looked over and saw Parker & Presley hugging, all on their own...and it was a rare occurence- Parker was enjoying it! He was even doing his sweet sigh/hum he makes when he hugs us, showing his love. I hurried and grabbed my camera of course!

It started like this... :) (*Presley's hair is a mess but of course I still love these pictures) :)

 Not long after this Parker lost interest and didn't want any more of this hug/kiss stuff. :)

 So sadly, it ended like this. Presley would rather hold hands and hug much longer than Parker wants too...so she tries to force him, poor guy.  ;)

Lately

A look at life lately via my cell phone.

We've been keepin' real busy around here...how else would life be with 2 two year olds? ;)

 Thanks to Aunt Pam and Jennifer for their dress up clothes at their bday. They love it!

 Love these two. Doesn't Presley look so cute with her hands behind her back? Oh that's because she kept hitting Parker on the head with her fairy wand and I told her if she did it again I was taking it away- hence the hands with wand behind her back ;)

 Parker bundled up after cold swimming lessons! The water was freezing most days because of the rain we've had!

Presley and Griffin having a blast

 Hilarious. They were walking around the house with this box on their head, periodically they'd lift it to make sure they didn't run into anything, haha! So we made them a hole to see out ;)

 At least once a day they decide to hug and kiss each other- the sweetest!

Had a few friends over for some pool time yesterday during nap time :)

 Had fun at the park this morning...minus the part where I looked like a child abductor trying to convince Presley to come home with me. Once she knew it was time to go she ran from me and would dodge me (not the first time for this!) ;) I tried reasoning, convincing, bribing, pretending to leave, none of it worked so I eventually had to catch her and carry the screaming child. Thank goodness she only screamed at me for a few seconds. ;) I really felt like a child abductor when I was saying, "I have a cookie in the car!" haha! Parker and I even did the old, "OK well Parker and I are leaving- bye bye..." looked back at her while walking to see her smile and say, "ok bye bye!" Stinker. :)

 Yay for Monday and the Bachelorette on tonight! ;)

Memorial Wkd!

A 3 day weekend is always welcome in our calendar! Now that we are past Memorial Day it really feels like summer- I love it!

Sadly, we started our weekend with Presley having horrible hives (starting on Wednesday evening actually.) Turns out she had strep throat. Those hives had me so worried! They looked terrible and just as they would get a little better, they'd come back with a vengeance...here's a look at her arm Friday morning. They were like this on her legs and some of her tummy. So awful! They finally started to improve on Sunday.

 This actually occurred a few days before memorial wkd but had to include it ;) the picture is bad quality from my phone so in case you can't tell- Parker was spraying Presley with the water hose. :)

We had some movie nights! This weekend we watched- This Means War- it was pretty cute

 I re-decorated the patio...I'd been eyeing this wicker furniture for months and really wanted a comfy place to sit outside and read at night. Bye bye old white table :)

 We had some friends over. Parker LOVED Kaylee! The middle pic is the guys pushing the babes in the swings, chatting. I thought it was pretty cute that they parked their chairs there. The last pic is all 4 little ones stalking Kaylee as she swam on the other side of the fence. :)

Monday we tested out our pool for the first time this year! P & P were pumped about it! :)

 Parker was very scared at first, but after 5-10 minutes he was swimming/kicking all over the pool like a big kid. :) We started swim lessons Tuesday so it's a good thing we got him in the day before so he wasn't scared at lessons. :)

Then we (we meaning P & P, ha) played in the sprinkler!

 Eric grilled some amazing kabobs and flank steak- heavenly!

 I've enjoyed reading outside every night since I bought the new furniture! I also added white shear curtains in front of the patio posts and LOVE IT! Even Eric's been sitting outside with me, so peaceful! :)

We've been enjoying a few rainy days this week. Only thing is I'd much rather have storms during the day, and not all night long. Poor Presley is very scared of thunder and we've had some really loud thunder the last two nights!

Vacation {Part 3}

Whew this is the last post with vacation pictures! We had a great last day on the beach!

Snack break :)

 After naps we headed to the town to do a dolphin tour and then to have some dinner!

I was so excited for Parker to have his first boat ride! They both loved it until we caught some waves from a ship passing by- he was scared to death- poor guy! After the waves he clung to me with his head down peeking up every few minutes and asking to go home.

In other news, we DID see dolphins! The first 20 minutes I was thinking to myself...hmmm..do they just occasionally shout- "Oh there's a dolphin up ahead, up there he went...what, you didn't see it?!" But luckily we ended up seeing two different groups. One group happily jumping in the waves in front of a huge cruise ship leaving port, then we saw another group playing! It is amazing to see dolphins in there habitat! P & P loved seeing them!

That evening we took some family pictures on the beach before heading home the next morning!

Vacation {Part 2}

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise (yes P &P were early risers on vacay) :)

 Enjoyed coffee and donuts..

 And a fun morning on the beach! I love that every morning we went to the beach we had the beach to ourselves. In the afternoons there would be a few people, but never crowded.

 Daddy's are great for playing in the sand. :)

The beach wore them out! It was a first- P & P asked to go inside.

 After naps everyone was refreshed and ready to explore the town!

We started off by touring the "Elissa" a beautiful boat

We enjoyed dinner on the harbour at Fisherman's Wharf- favorite restaurant!

Next, we went to the Confectionery in the historical area of downtown. One of my favorite attractions. :)

and of course we bought some candy :)

They love butterflies so I knew they'd want these butterfly lollipops while we strolled around downtown. It was quite the scene when we took the lollipop from Presley to go home in the car...whew wee.

Back to the condo to watch the sunset

 And clearly we needed to come down off a sugar high before bed. ha!
