Just an update about ECI (Early Childhood Intervention.) I called ECI awhile back because in one of our NICU discharge classes the therapist recommended all parents get a free evaluation. A case worker came last week to evaluate Parker and Presley. She asked me a number of questions starting with my pregnancy and up to the current. She evaluated every aspect from nutrition to their motor, social, and emotional development. She said they are doing great! =) They are age appropriate in everything. She evaluated them at their corrected age- 4 months- and reminded me that we need to continue the corrected age until they are 2 years old. So my sweet 4 month olds are doing great. =)
She also measured and weighed them:
Parker is 25 1/2 inches long and weighed 15.10 lbs
Presley is 24 inches long (which I thought was weird since they said she was 24 inches at her last appt almost 2 months ago..the ECI lady said she must not have been accurately measured) and 14 lbs
I'm taking them tomorrow for their 6 month well check and shots so I'll update soon about that.

Lately
Here's what the babies have been up to lately
Thursday night they wore their matching duck pj's :)
Thursday night they wore their matching duck pj's :)
Now that they are flat in their crib (no more Nap Nanny) they need pj's to keep them warm at night. I took those pictures Friday morning when they were well rested. :) I tried the evening before but couldn't get two smiles since they were sleepy.
Friday, Presley's first baby leg warmers came in the mail. :) I can't wait for fall temperatures so she can wear them!
Friday night Eric went to the Ranger game with his best friends- Brian, Dan, and Justin. So, my great friend Janet and I had a girls night. She got to meet the babies just before they went to sleep. Then we ordered Niki's delivery and watched New Moon. :) I taught third grade with Janet.
Since Daddy wasn't home (the Ranger game went 14 innings) I wanted the babies close to me. So we had a slumber party and they slept in the pack and play next to me. I laid Presley on the opposite side as Parker so they wouldn't bump into each other. But, she scooted her little self up by him...then I heard a slurping sound and she was sucking the back of his pajamas. Haha!!
Saturday Parker enjoyed playing his keyboard from Gramma and Grandad. I'm not sure who enjoys the baby toys more...the babies or Eric and I. The babies were lucky to hear Mommy and Daddy's musical talent playing Mary Had a Little Lamb, Chopsticks, and the song from the movie Big. Haha!
Then Saturday we went to a party at the Peterson house since the Nickell family is in town from California. I didn't take pictures but it was great to see them!!
Sunday we went to church.
They were sleepy on the way home. This is what Presley does most of the time when she's going to sleep- pulls her blanket up to her face and sucks on it. Don't worry I make sure she can breathe! :)
Daddy and Parker after church
We were excited to watch the first official Cowboy game of the season. The babies were asleep before it started...they didn't miss anything though.
Parker is enjoying the exersaucer Nana and Papa got for us
Presley's not too sure about it yet...she's small for it. I tried putting the pillow behind her (haha) to help but she just wasn't all that interested yet. She's our dainty princess!
That's all for now! The babies are still napping which is a big deal for Parker. He's been asleep for over an hour! He usually only naps for 30 minutes! Yay Parker! :)

6 Months!
6 months ago Eric and I were twice blessed! How did we ever live without you Parker and Presley?! We thought we were happy before but having children sure does make life even better! I told Eric the other day that being home with the babies is my dream job...a dream I didn't know existed for myself until they were born! I sure wish there was a way to push pause on life!
Here's what you are up to now Parker and Presley:
Parker
*You are such a happy baby! You have a smile for everyone you meet! You especially love to smile at your twin sister Presley. You love her so much! When I lay you next to her you reach out for her.
*You melt my heart when you cuddle.
*You are getting so big! I think you are close to 16 pounds now!
* You love for Mommy to carry you in the sling around the house.
*You are still very relaxed and calm.
* You love to sleep on your sides in your crib... you accidentally roll to your tummy sometimes and panic. You cry for help and Mommy runs to you!
* You are getting closer to sitting up on your own. You LOVE to sit up and look around.
* You like to explore toys with your hands.
* You have the sweetest voice when you talk to us (Daddy said this :))
* Daddy is introducing you to football!
* You have a hard time falling asleep on your own. You prefer to fall asleep just as you finish eating your bottle.
* We LOVE when you laugh with us! You still have bad reflux and if we get you laughing too much you throw up. :(
* Your neck is ticklish and when we change your clothes you always laugh.
* You love playing with your feet.
* You love to play in the jumperoo exploring all of the toys with your hands.
* You still furrow your eye brows often- your "serious" look. :)
* You don't cry very often at all....but I know when it's coming because your little bottom lip curls out. We pick you up and cuddle you quickly.
* You wake up early like Mommy. 7 am
Presley
* You are such a sweet little girl! Sometimes when we or others talk to you, you smile and sink down as if you are being bashful.
* You are very determined. If you see something you want you make your way to it. Nothing stands in your way.
* When you are not happy you always let us know pretty quickly. ;)
* You are coming out of a phase of only letting Mommy and Daddy hold you. For awhile you cried at the sight of everyone except Mommy and Daddy.
* You have the biggest smile and smile A LOT just like your brother...only you are more picky about who you will smile for. You are a little unsure of strangers.
* When Daddy holds you, you try very hard to get his fingers in your mouth.
* You have to have your blankie to fall asleep. You are great at falling asleep on your own. You shuffle and scoot around until you find just the perfect spot and suck on your blankie until you are asleep. I find you in the funniest positions in your crib. If I rock you until you fall asleep you will suck on the sleeve of my shirt or my arm. :)
* You have the sweetest high pitched girly voice.
* You are very curious and have to see everything that is going on. Your little head is constantly turning to look around.
* You love to play with toys and want all of them in your mouth.
* You love playing with your feet.
* You are very aware of your bottle. When you see your bottle you reach your hands out to grasp it and direct it towards your mouth.
* You are great on your tummy. You just hang out looking around or you roll to your back.
* You love to stand.
* I know when you are going to cry because you start breathing heavy and that bottom lip curls out. Breaks my heart! I make you feel better a.s.a.p.
* You sleep late like your Daddy. 8:30 am.
We love you both more than words can express!

Labor Day Weekend
What a great busy weekend! This time last year we were just sharing the news with our families that we were expecting A baby...little did we know that in a couple of months we would find out we were expecting TWO babies. What a surprise blessing!
Here's a look at our holiday weekend
Here's a look at our holiday weekend
Friday the weather was just BEAUTIFUL so we went on a walk!
AND we enjoyed the day with the breeze coming in! So excited for Fall!!
Saturday was College Game Day. Eric's favorite day of the year! This photo was taken with my phone so it's not the best. The onesies they have on are the first items ever purchased for the babies! We bought them on our trip last Fall to SFA before we knew if we were expecting two boys, two girls, or one of each! I remember telling Eric I could just see one of the onesies with a bow! We were a little disappointed that they didn't have the onesies in 0-3 month tiny size...but what perfect timing that they fit now! :)
Also, Saturday was a day I was super excited about! Jennifer and I went to the Just Between Friends Sale at Will Rogers. BJ and Kaylee came over to hang out with Eric and the babies. It was probably good for BJ to see life with the twins since he's an expecting Daddy. Here they are:
The sale was great but SUPER crowded. I don't know how Jennifer made it being 31 weeks pregnant with twins! She's one tough Momma!
On our way there we had to stop at McDonalds for shopping fuel :)
And on our way home we had to have...nachos to refuel after all that crowded shopping!
One of my FAVORITE purchases is this sling below. The babies like it :) I kind of feel like a Kangaroo with it on. haha!
I was also excited to find these twin burb cloths. I found them while we waited in the forever long line!
Sunday afternoon we went to visit Gramma & Grandad! We all had a great time!
Gigi Mom was able to come over too!
Gramma & Parker
Later Sunday we wanted to try the babies in the pool again before it gets cool...well it turned out to be too cool already. We got in for 2 seconds and got out! Well....next year!
Labor Day Nana & Papa stopped by to get the rental pump I am no longer using and return it to Baylor. Wow, it was weird packing it up since I used that thing for 5 months! Thank you Nana & Papa for renting it during those 5 months for us! I would have continued if the babies weren't BOTH allergic to breastmilk.

Papa & Parker
Also on Monday Parker rolled from his back to his tummy. He was not pleased to be on his tummy. The boy is not a fan of tummy time. :)

Loved
Parker and Presley you are very loved! I've been meaning for awhile to post family pictures but was trying to make sure to get everyone. I haven't had a chance to get a picture of everyone but I'll just post again once I do. =)
